Emigrated to the U.S. in 1969 from Turkey.  Prior to his travel business, Altan was an Electrical Engineer in Turkey, Germany and then the United States.  After a 30 year career as an Electrical Engineer, Altan founded Artun Travel with partners in 1991.  He has been involved in the travel business ever since the inception of Artun Travel.

Altan has a passion for travel and his life is filled with humor and joy.  Altan spends his free time with his children and friends and he is an active member of the Turkish-American community.  Altan lives in Chicago and is happily single.

Serhan Yildirim  syildirim@artuntravel.com

Serhan was born in Bingol City, which is a small city in Turkey. Bingol is famous with thermal springs, skiing center and “The Swimming Islands”. The Swimming Islands are a naturally occurring, phenomena because they float in the lake and have no attachment to the ground. The Swimming Islands of Bingol move around the lake and one can even swim under the Islands. Serhan graduated from Ege University with a degree in Textile – Apparel Engineering. After graduation, Serhan emigrated to the United States in July of 2010.

Serhan enjoys traveling abroad, he has visited Europe many times, and his favorite place is the Netherlands due to the many historical places, museums and the canals. Serhan is also interested in camping and mountain climbing.

Graduated from Dokuz Eylul University with a degree in Business Management.  Upon graduation, Yasemin was an Account Manager at Beff Mobilya after passing the CPA exam.  In 2004, Yasemin relocated to the United States and started her career in tourism and has been a travel agent for three years at Artun Travel.

Yasemin is currently pursuing her Masters in Accounting at Loyola University.  Yasemin travels abroad each summer for holiday, she enjoys all types of sports and social activity.  Yasemin is fluent in Arabic, Turkish and English.

Started her career in Advertising working for various agencies in Chicago.  In 2008, Leyla started Lotus Marketing Services focusing on communicating brand messaging through non-traditional channels including: event marketing, web marketing and social media.  Leyla currently maintains the Artun Travel Blog.

Leyla is an avid traveler, she boarded her first international flight at 9 months and her passion for travel has taken her around the world.  Leyla has traveled Europe & Turkey extensively, she prides herself on her knowledge of Hotels, Restaurants, Cultural Events, Pop Culture and finding hidden gems.
